Tutorial 5

Text Mining with HathiTrust
Eleanor Dickson Koehl, HathiTrust
Ryan Dubnicek, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

This workshop will introduce attendees to the HathiTrust Research Center and its tools and services for computational text analysis research. The HTRC leverages the scope and scale of the HathiTrust Digital Library collection to create opportunities for researchers to perform text data mining on subsets of the corpus. Attendees will develop skills that will allow them to conduct basic text analysis research using HathiTrust data, learn techniques for engaging with scholars on their text data mining research, and explore strategies for computational access to large-scale digital collections.

Funding Opportunity:
If you’re a legal permanent resident of the USA and not an employee of University of Illinois, there are a limited number of reimbursements up to $600 for eligible registration/travel expenses for participants in the HTRC tutorial.
